The Finance Office is responsible for:
Preparation of Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
Appropriations and Annual Budgeting Process and Administration
Custody of all official records of the City including ordinances, resolutions, minutes, and agreements
Preparation and publication of minutes of official City Council meetings
Receiving and recording all monies deposited with the City
Investment of surplus cash balances of the municipality
Debt Financing
Official Requests for Public Information
Insurance
Conducts annual municipal election and special elections
Sets election schedule, verifies signatures on each petition, confirms candidate eligibility, and manages polling location
All liquor, wine and malt beverage licensing within city limits
Special Assessment Administration
Accounts Receivable
Accounts Payable
Serves as the payment center for municipal utilities.
The Legal/Finance Committee meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 6:00 pm in the Council Chamber at City Hall.
