Online Permit Applications
Please note that online payments have a convenience fee of 3.25% of the transaction. If you submit applications via email and would like to pay online, please call 605-723-9370 or 605-892-3006 for instructions. You do not have to pay online to submit online applications, just let us know how you would like to pay as we cannot issue permits or licenses without payment.
The Engineering Department cannot take payments over the phone.
Please refer to the noted address for mail-in payments. The Engineering Department is on the second floor of city hall for in-person payments.
Collaborator: In order to submit an application, you will need to create an account. You can do this by either clicking the "Become a Collaborator" button underneath "Connect With Us Today:" or click on the "Create Account" link in the top right corner of the page. Once an account is created, you should be able to apply for contractor licenses and permits. If you have any issues or questions regarding MyGov accounts, please contact the Engineering Administrative Assistant at 605-723-9370.
Collaborators and Credentials are not the same thing.
Collaborators are anyone who creates a MyGov account - MyGov accounts are free to create. Credentials are the actual contractor license aspect of MyGov. Credentials are the regular contractor license fee.
