Contractor Licenses
The Engineering Department is responsible for issuing all general contractor, electrical, and plumbing licenses for the City of Belle Fourche.
All Belle Fourche contractor licenses expire on December 31st of every year. Renewal reminder letters are mailed out in October.
The Engineering Department cannot take payments over the phone. Please refer to the noted address for mail-in payments. The Engineering Department is on the second floor of city hall for in-person payments.
The City of Belle Fourche is currently transferring to a new program for online contractor license applications and payments. To avoid having contractors attempt to apply on an inactive platform, our current program, gWorks FrontDesk, will no longer be available, effective immediately, for contractor license applications.
If you are renewing your contractor license and do NOT need to update any information, please contact the Engineering Department before submitting any applications or payments.
